Guttman Community College students are taught in learning communities to develop marketable employment skills such as communication, teamwork and leadership and to strengthen their critical thinking and analytical reasoning.

Diverse Student Body

Guttman Community College students are geographically, socially, economically, culturally and linguistically diverse, reflecting the diversity of New York City. Students represent all five boroughs of New York as well as New Jersey,

California, and Florida. Guttman’s student population is 50% Hispanic; 14% White; 30% Black; 5% Asian or Pacific Islander; 1% American Indian or Native Alaskan; women represent just over 50% of the inaugural class.
