College Confers 104 Associate Degrees after Spring II 2016 Session

On August 23, Guttman Community College conferred 104 associate degrees for the Spring II 2016 session: 94 degrees were awarded to students from the 2014 cohort; 8 were awarded to students who entered in 2013; and 2 degrees were awarded to students from the College’s inaugural 2012 cohort. 21 students from the 2014 cohort also graduated with Honors by having cumulative GPAs of 3.5 or higher.

410 students enrolled in the College’s 2014 entering class. After two years, 115 students from the 2014 cohort (28%) have graduated, a metric that is significantly higher than the two-year national graduation rate at Large City public two-year colleges (5%, IPEDS Graduation Rate Survey 2014).

The College enrolled 278 students in fall 2013. After three years, 121 students from the College’s 2013 entering class (44%) have graduated, which is significantly higher than the three-year national graduation rate at Large City public two-year colleges (15%, IPEDS Graduation Rate Survey 2014). Additionally, 51% of students from Guttman’s inaugural 2012 class have now graduated.
