Guttman Community College Students visit Infor

February 6, 2019 – Guttman students taking Introduction to Management Information System were given a tour of the development lab (nicknamed “The Garage”) at Infor. Infor is the largest privately held technology company in the world. Some of their clients include the Brooklyn Nets, McDonald’s and the MTA. Students were given a demonstration of some of Infor’s latest Enterprise Resource Planning software, shown the latest in virtual reality and augmented reality technology. They spoke to a few of the developers and product managers about their work in the Information Technology field. Brian Costa, Infor’s solution manager, demonstrated an enterprise application called M3 that Infor is currently using to increase the efficiency in warehouses. Tucker Williams and Meredith Bates, two of Infor’s product managers, demonstrated some of the company’s cutting edge technology while explaining the software development life cycle. They also informed the students about opportunities in the information and technology field.
