Assistant Professor of Human Services Dr. Anya Spector and Guttman alumna Krimili Infante co-authored an article in the latest issue of Social Work Education: The International Journal. The article, “Community College Field Placement Internships: Supervisors’ Perspectives and Recommendations,” aims to fill a gap in research of best practices for supervision of community college human services students during their field placement internships. The group, representing the future of the social service workforce, completes 250 hours of training in a supervised internship. Spector and Infante analyzed data from semi-structured interviews through qualitative content analysis to offer recommendations and interventions for both community college students and supervisors in the human services field.

Dr. Anya Spector, LMSW, earned her doctorate in Social Work from the Columbia University School of Social Work. Krimili Infante earned her associate degree in Human Services from Guttman Community College in 2018. She is currently studying social work at Hunter College.
