Campus Access – Visitors

To protect the health and safety of our CUNY community of students, faculty and staff, CUNY’s visitor policy now requires all visitors to: provide proof of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or provide proof of a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken within the 7-days prior to visiting a CUNY college location, building or office.

CUNY is using the Cleared4 system to provide a secure way for you to submit this information and receive a CUNY access pass (known as “GreenPass”) that enables you access to visit Guttman Community College.

All visitors must be approved prior to accessing the campus. Request visitor access at least 5-7 days prior to the visit by submitting the visitor’s full name, email address, room/location they will be accessing, date and time of visit, and reason for visiting the campus to CampusAccess@guttman.cuny.edu.

Submitting COVID-19 Vaccination Proof

Those who have received the COVID-19 vaccination dose(s) to qualify as fully vaccinated can use the link in “Link to Register and Submit Proof,” to register, upload proof of your vaccination and enter some supporting information. After your submission has been verified by the campus, you will receive a CUNY access pass that permits you access to any CUNY location.

A vaccination CUNY access pass expires one year after the date on which the CDC considers you fully vaccinated.

Submitting Negative COVID-19 PCR Testing Results

CUNY permits unvaccinated individuals to access CUNY locations if they can demonstrate proof of negative COVID-19 PCR testing results within the seven days prior to their visit. After receiving your negative COVID-19 PCR testing results, use the link in “Link to Register and Submit Proof,” to register, upload proof of your test results and enter some supporting information. After your submission has been verified by CUNY, you will receive a CUNY access pass that permits you access to any CUNY location.

Note: A negative COVID-19 PCR test CUNY access pass expires seven days after the date on which the test sample was taken.

How Do I Gain Access to Campus?

  1. Complete the self-registration for Cleared4 using the following link; https://www.c4wrk.com/AiJ3kxaq4ectwAMw8 or by using a smartphone and scanning the QR code on this page.qr code
  2. Once you have completed the self-registration and submitted proof of your COVID-19 vaccination or recent PCR testing results, your submission will be reviewed to see if you are permitted to access a CUNY location.
  3. Once your submission has been approved, you can either print out a copy of the CUNY access pass, or display it on your phone, to scan at a kiosk and demonstrate to the CUNY official that your pass has not expired and you are allowed access. You may also be asked to show identification and the reason for your visit before you will be permitted to enter.

Please note the following

  • Do not travel to a CUNY location until you receive your CUNY access pass notification. You will not be permitted to access a CUNY location if your COVID-19 vaccination or negative PCR test result submission is pending verification.
  • The COVID-19 vaccination and negative PCR test results are required in addition to whatever other arrangements are -necessary in order to visit a CUNY or college location, building or office.
  • CUNY only accepts a negative PCR testing result within seven days of the testing sample.
  • CUNY has imposed a temporary mask mandate for everyone, regardless of vaccination status. A face mask is required inside all CUNY campuses and office buildings. This includes wearing mask while taking classes, and/or visiting or working in a non-enclosed space such as a cubicle or other open seating, regardless of physical distance from others. It also requires wearing a mask outdoors on campus when unable to maintain physical distance from others.
  • CUNY expects all students, faculty, staff and visitors to follow the New York City Board of Health guidelines on COVID-19

Exceptions for Short Visits with No Contact

Visitors who are on campus for 30 minutes or less per visit do not have to comply with any COVID-19 vaccination or surveillance testing requirements applicable to CUNY staff unless the visitor expects, during that time, to be less than 6 feet distant of another person for a total of 15 minutes of more.
