In recognition of individual identities and lived experiences, the Office of Advising & Transfer Support is committed to helping students build the necessary skills and confidence to progress through Guttman to a senior college and/or career within a meaningful timeframe. Utilizing an approach that is holistic, strengths and inquiry based, advisors work to fulfill this mission through four strategies:
- Cultivate student relationships characterized by transparency and trust.
- Provide course facilitation, one-on-one meetings, and programming that challenges students to generate, refine, and accomplish their academic and professional goals.
- Collaborate with campus partners to support success throughout a student’s academic career at Guttman.
- Incorporate reflection, assessment, and student voice in our processes.
