How to Attend a Virtual Meet-Up Session

What are Meet-Ups?
Meet-Ups are collaborative group study sessions facilitated by peer mentors. All Guttman students are encouraged make Meet-Ups a habit early in the semester as a strategy to get ahead and stay ahead! All Meet-Ups take place in the rear of the Information Commons. Meet-Up times vary, so please refer to the Meet-Up schedule available on the campus TV monitors, in Info Commons, or on Starfish. Students can make an appointment in Starfish or just drop in!
What subjects do Meet-Ups cover?
Meet-Ups are offered for the following subjects: Algebra, Biology, Chemistry, Statistics and Writing. All of our Meet-Up Mentors attend weekly class sessions, which equip them to lead effective Meet-Up sessions. Their experience in the classroom also allows them to build rapport with students and assist faculty with in-class activities.
Three reasons to attend Meet-Ups!
- Work with fellow classmates and Peer Mentors on homework assignments
- Prepare for an upcoming quiz or exam
- Brainstorm a paper topic, develop your writing skills, have your paper peer-reviewed
