Free Legal Consultation

Single Stop can refer students and their families to an attorney to assist students with immigration, landlord/tenant issues and any other legal issue that a student or a family member may experience.

Here are a few examples of what the attorney can assist you with:

·  Housing ( eviction, landlord/ tenant issue, horrible living conditions)

·  Family ( divorce, child support, custody, family dispute)

·  Civil ( suing someone, being sued, questions regarding a legal issue)

·  Fraud ( suing someone for fraud, investigating a fraudulent activity)

Free Tax Assistance

It’s quick and easy! If you worked in the last three years, you may be eligible for the Earned Income Tax Credit—from $100 up to $5,000 cash back per year!

Carrol and Milton Petrie Student Emergency Fund Application

This grant can assist students for short-term, non-recurring emergencies with a one-time grant to alleviate the situation. Any matriculated student in good standing, who is experiencing a current and unforeseen emergency, is eligible to apply for a grant. Visit the Single Stop office or view the application here.
