The 2017 Summer Bridge Program will meet at Guttman Community College August 21-September 1. In addition to classroom and social activities at the college, students will participate in multiple field experiences in New York City.

You will join a group of classmates assigned to work with a team that includes faculty members, peer mentors, and a Student Success Advocate. This group, what we call a “learning community,” will stay together throughout the fall semester.

Summer Bridge will prepare you to:

  • identify goals for being a college student and soon-to-be professional
  • set and meet high expectations for academic success
  • work successfully in groups
  • conduct research
  • present a team project

Summer Bridge is included in your tuition.  While you won’t earn credit, completing the program is mandatory because it will prepare you for success when your fall classes begin on September 7.
