Information for Faculty & Staff

  • The entire Guttman Community, faculty and staff, are invited to attend the college‚Äôs Fourth Annual Commencement taking place on Monday, June 19, 2017.
  • The ceremony will begin promptly at 10:30a.m. (doors will open at 9:45a.m.) and will be held at Borough of Manhattan Community College (BMCC) Tribeca Performing Arts Center located at 199 Chambers Street, New York, New York.
  • Kindly note that you will need a ticket to enter the arts center, having a college ID will not be sufficient and there will be no tickets available on the day of Commencement. A reserved section will be designated for the Guttman community.
  • All faculty and administrators (deans, directors, and managers) are invited to march in the procession at Commencement. For those that participate in the processional, please arrive at BMCC by 9:15a.m., your academic regalia will serve as your ticket into the ceremony.
  • If you do not own academic regalia, the college will make arrangements for the rental of a cap and gown only, for the Commencement Ceremony.
  • If you would like an academic hood, you must purchase one directly through our vendor, Oak Hall Cap and Gown ( The last day to place an order is May 8, 2017. To save you on shipping costs, your academic hood will be delivered directly to the college and will be available for pick-up beginning Monday, June 5, 2017.
