Advising & Transfer Support is Available Remotely!
Welcome to Advising & Transfer Support at Guttman Community College. Through one-on-one meetings, group advisement, and campus-wide programming, we provide opportunities for students to clarify their academic and professional goals. Together, we will develop an appropriate educational plan that satisfies degree requirements and prepares you for your next steps after Guttman. During this period of remote learning, there are a variety of ways you can connect with your advisor. Your first option is to make an appointment via Starfish.
Advising appointments are being held in one of two ways:
- Online platform appointment (recommended). All Guttman students are eligible for a free Zoom account by using your CUNYfirst username and password. Zoom allows advisors to screen share and show helpful tools such as your transcript and degree audit. Please access the Zoom link that is sent to you at your scheduled appointment time.
- Phone appointment. Ahead of your appointment time, you will receive an email from your advisor with a phone number to call at the time of your appointment.
If you have a question that does not require an appointment, you may call or email your advisor directly. Please be advised that advisors are generally available Monday through Friday from 9am -5pm.
