Where’s my bill?
Within your CUNYfirst account, you can view your pending financial aid as well as tuition and fee charges.
When is my tuition due?
Tuition payment due dates are determined by the date of your initial registration and can be viewed by logging onto your CUNYfirst account, (Student Center, Financial Account, Account Balance Summary), or by referencing the billing email from the Bursar. The schedule of payment due dates is:
Important things to remember:
- You will not receive a bill in the mail.
- If your financial responsibility is not met by the due date indicated on your billing email, your registration may be subject to cancellation.
- You should not assume your classes will be dropped for non-payment. It is your responsibility to drop your classes in CUNYfirst if you decide not to attend Guttman for the semester.

Collection Agency
Students who do not make full payment of tuition and fees are referred to a collection agency can no longer make payment directly to the college. All payments or payment arrangements must be made directly with the Collection Agency. You are responsible for the balance owed to the college as well as any additional fees/surcharges from the Collection Agency. Balances are not negotiated.
Overdue Guttman Community College student accounts are transferred to the following collection agency:
Leopold Gross & Sommers, P.C.(LGS)

Am I Eligible for a Refund?
Refunds based on withdrawal or change in registration: Refunds for drops or withdrawals are based on the date on which you officially drop or withdraw from your class(es). See the academic calendar for the deadline dates for dropping classes.
If you do not notify the college of your intent to drop, your classes will appear on your transcript with whatever grades your instructors assign. Additionally, you will owe the full amount of your tuition and you may have to repay some or all the financial aid you have received.
Refunds due to financial aid:
If the amount of financial aid you are receiving is greater than your tuition and fee charges, you may be eligible for a refund. Refunds will usually be made in several payments. The first may be issued right before the first week of classes to be used to pay for books and supplies; the rest, later during the semester.
- Students can sign up for direct deposit of their refund using their bank account information. (See how to enroll in CUNYfirst.) Refunds that are directly deposited are available to you immediately.
- If you do not sign up for direct deposit, a check will be mailed to your home.
- Moving? Here’s how to change your address on CUNYfirst.
