The Office of CUNY AccessABILITY Services (OAS) is committed to providing students with disabilities equal opportunities to benefit from all services, programs, and activities.
The Office of AccessABILITY Services is required to use a web-based software system called CUNY Accommodate to service students who receive accommodations. Access to this system is available to all students registered with our office and all campus faculty members.
Students not registered with the Office of AccessABILITY and requiring accommodations should contact the Office of AccessABILITY Services via email at accessabilityservices@guttman.cuny.edu to schedule their accommodation assessment.
About Accommodate
Students will:
- Maintain 24-hour access to approved academic adjustments
- Request additional academic adjustments pending approved documentation
- Submit semester “renewal” requests to communicate the continuation of academic adjustments
- Upload and view any further supporting documentation for academic adjustments
Faculty will:
- 24-hour access to student academic adjustments
- Ease of logging in using University credentials
- Academic accommodations and adjustments are clearly listed under the student’s name in each list of enrolled students for the course
- Ability to print a list of students in each of their courses in Accommodate that includes the student’s approved academic accommodations and adjustments
