The Office of Institutional Research (IR) mission is to build bridges among data, dialogue and decisions. IR’s scope of work includes strategic planning, institutional effectiveness (SAGE), data analysis and dashboards, college-wide surveys, and accreditation. Note: IR was previously known as the Center for College Effectiveness (CCE).

Institutional Effectiveness (SAGE)
How well are we collectively meeting our goals?
- SAGE (Systematic Approach for Guttman Effectiveness) is the College’s institutional effectiveness framework, which integrates planning, assessment and resource allocation in support of the College’s mission and goals.
- At the unit-level, the SAGE Profile is a template for academic, administrative and student support areas to document annual planning and assessment work aligned with College goals.
- At the institutional level, the combined SAGE Profiles reveal collegewide emergent themes and show collective progress toward Strategic Plan goals.

Accreditation
How do we ensure Guttman provides a quality education?
- Guttman is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE) and required to comply with the commission’s standards and requirements for quality assurance.
- Guttman’s Statement of Accreditation Status summarizes the College’s history of accreditation actions.
