At Guttman, we believe in learning by doing. That’s why we bring the business world into the classroom, allowing you to gain communication, interpersonal and leadership skills to integrate knowledge across the curriculum and to acquire outstanding job skills. In class, you’ll learn about accounting, economics, business law and sound business practices. You’ll use technology to solve business problems, make business decisions, and enhance your analytical skills. You’ll also study finance, marketing and international business – meaning you’ll have the know-how to work with diverse partners and clients around the globe! You’ll also become proficient in upper-level mathematics.

Philosophy
Our program will inspire your intellectual curiosity and prepare you for transfer to baccalaureate programs in Business Administration. Upon graduation, you’ll also be in a position to be employed in entry-level administrative and managerial positions in public or private enterprise.

Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the Business Administration Program, you’ll be able to:
- Research, critique and generate ideas using the principles and techniques of business;
- Explain how social, cultural, technological and regulatory forces affect a business organization;
- Recognize and classify diverse perspectives and demonstrate critical thinking when evaluating business environments;
- Identify and deconstruct challenges and opportunities facing businesses in the dynamic and diverse environment of New York City working individually and on teams; and
- Design practical, sustainable, efficient, and ethically-responsible solutions to address business challenges.

Opportunities
Global Guttman–China
As a student in the Business Administration program, you can go on professionally transformative adventures in countries around the world! Students in Global Guttman–China attend lectures at start-up companies that make some of the world’s most important technologies, tour the world’s largest steel manufacturing plant and walk the Great Wall.
College Fed Challenge
You can team up with three to five of your Guttman classmates to join the College Fed Challenge and compete with students from nearby colleges in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. You and your teammates will get to play the roles of economists and policymakers by critically analyzing economic conditions and recommending a course for monetary policy. It’s a tremendous experience for your future business career!
Requirements

Transfer Opportunities
An articulation agreement is a written contract or partnership between Guttman Community College and a senior college/university that outlines agreed upon coursework that will transfer over to that particular institution. So, when you complete your coursework and meet the requirements specified by the receiving institution(s), those completed courses will be applied towards your baccalaureate degree.
