Our online program prepares you to support your communities with the knowledge and skills needed to keep patient health information accurate and safe. You’ll play a vital role in ensuring the reliability, availability and integrity of patient health data.
In the Health Information Technology (HITE) program, you’ll learn technology to keep medical data safe and organized along with analytical skills and management practices to secure sensitive health information.
You’ll be using virtual technology to get active, hands-on experience with realistic patient cases. You’ll gain expertise in coding and managing patient health information like a pro. You’ll help ensure that information can be shared accurately and easily for patients and their physicians and healthcare teams.
When you successfully complete the HITE program, you’ll be awarded a Health Information Technology associate degree. With this degree, the door is open for you to continue your learning in a bachelor’s degree Health Information Management program.

Requirements
The associate degree of Applied Science (A.A.S.) in Health Information Technology requires the completion of 61 credits. Please refer to course descriptions for information on pre-requisites and/or co-requisites.
