Full-time Employee Off-Boarding
Your off-boarding process will include several essential steps described below based on your employment status.
- Exit Checklist Form– Completed form must be returned to the Office of Human Resources prior to departure.
- Exit Interview –For resignations, HR will conduct an off-boarding meeting with you prior to your last day of employment. Prior to the off-boarding meeting, you will be given a brief Exit Interview Questionnaire, which you will complete and bring with you to the meeting. This meeting is designed to better inform us of your decision to separate from the college and identify potential areas of improvement within the administration. The interview will also allow us to understand problem areas, gain insight on your job functions to improve the position for future candidates. Ultimately, your honest feedback will improve employee job satisfaction and reduce future employee turnover. Your honest and thoughtful answers will help us improve our process as we grow as a college.
- Exit Survey– For resignations, a confidential exit survey will be sent to you via email from ModernThink. Your honest feedback is important to us and we request that you please complete this survey within two weeks of separation. This information is an important component in helping us to identify areas of improvement and is an opportunity to solicit feedback to enhance our processes and understand your reasons for leaving.
- Payroll – Please ensure you submit your last timesheet before midnighton your last working day. After your effective date of separation, you will no longer have access to the online timesheet system. Any unused Annual Leave, up to the cap, will be paid out with your last paycheck. Note: Partial paychecks and Annual Leave payments are not direct deposited, so please provide us with an address where we can mail you the paper checks.
- Benefits –your health benefits will be terminated effective the day following your last date of employment. You will receive a COBRA package from the benefits officer explaining how to maintain your benefits following your separation, if applicable.
