Located on the first floor of the college, the Guttman Library is where students can take charge of their own learning. It’s a place to study as well as find librarians and resources to support your coursework. Guttman faculty, students, and staff can also access eBooks, audiobooks, streaming film, online articles, and more, 24/7 through the Library’s online database subscriptions. Additionally, anyone from the Guttman community can visit and borrow materials from any CUNY Library; you need only show your Guttman ID card for entry. Your Guttman ID also serves as your Library card.
Services available in the Guttman Library include:
- Research consultations with librarians. Librarians can help you at any phase of your research process: from developing a topic, to finding and citing sources. You can meet with a librarian either in person or online. Schedule a meeting during drop-in hours using Navigate360 or email library@guttman.cuny.edu to set up an appointment. You can also chat with a real librarian at any time using the chat feature on the Library’s website.
- Loans of books, course textbooks (called “Reserves”), calculators, headphones, and laptops. Use OneSearch, the default search on the Guttman Library’s homepage, to find books held at CUNY Libraries as well as online articles and ebooks from our subscription databases.
- Virtual access to e-resources 24/7. E-resources are located on our Database A-Z page.
- General tutoring from the Academic Support Center (located in the back of the library).
- Photocopying, scanning, and printing.
- Student computing support.
- Prayer space shared by all faiths.
- Accessible and assistive technology and equipment.
