Center for Career Preparation and Partnerships
The Center for Career Preparation and Partnerships (CCPP) is a student-centered hub that connects you with employers through internships, career coaching and experiential learning. We equip you with the skills you need to transfer to a four-year college or begin a fulfilling career upon graduation from Guttman.
Career Innovation Hub
Our Career Innovation Hub (CIH) serves as Guttman’s workforce innovation lab. We bring together faculty, staff, employers and community partners to design programs, pilot emerging ideas and integrate career competencies into both credit and non-credit pathways. Through this work, CIH prepares students to be future-ready while enabling employers to stay ahead of evolving industry needs.
Policies & Procedures
Registration
Courses require a minimum number of enrolled students to run. Registration and full payment of tuition and fees are required before the start of class. Please check your student account in XenDirect to verify your enrollment status. Registration is not complete until full payment has been received and processed.
Registration Fee: Courses may include a non-refundable registration fee of up to $25, unless waived by the department.
Course Cancellation
All courses are subject to minimum enrollment requirements. The department reserves the right to cancel a course or modify its schedule, including cancellation at the first class meeting if necessary. Every effort will be made to notify students promptly in the event of cancellation.
Payment Plan
We offer structured payment options to make participation easier for working adults. Eligibility and terms depend on the course price.
- Courses under $250: Full payment is required at registration
- Courses $250-$799: 50% due at registration and the remainder due 14 days before the first class
- Courses $800 and above: Monthly installment plan available for eligible students. A minimum of 25% down payment is due at registration, with the remainder paid over 3 to 6 monthly installments depending on the course length. An administrative fee of $25 applies to all installment plans.
Payments may be made by credit or debit card. Please note that credit and debit card transactions may incur a service fee. All installment plans require automatic payments. Late payments may incur a $30 fee.
If a course is cancelled by the college, tuition and any applicable plan fees will be refunded. Refunds for student withdrawals follow our published Withdrawal and Refund policy. Withdrawal and Refund Policy
Tuition refunds are issued under the following conditions:
- 100% refund for written withdrawal requests received at least five (5) business days before the first class.
- 80% refund for written withdrawal requests received at least one (1) business day before the second class.
- No refunds are issued after the second class meeting.
Written withdrawal requests must be submitted by email to workforce@guttman.cuny.edu.
Tuition refunds can take up to 30 days to process. Registration fees are non-refundable.
Accessibility and Accommodations
Students seeking accommodations for a disability can contact Guttman’s Office of AccessABILITY Services at accessabilityservices@guttman.cuny.edu. Requests should be made as early as possible to ensure that reasonable accommodations can be arranged.
Certificates
Students who successfully complete a certificate program will receive a Certificate of Completion from Guttman Community College.

For programs leading to an industry certification, credentials are issued solely by the certifying body to students who successfully pass the required exams. Students should contact the certifying organization directly with any questions or concerns about certification. If your course includes an exam sitting fee, we cover the cost of one exam pass or fail. If the sitting fee is not included in the program you select, you are responsible for purchasing directly through the crediting organization.
Class Attendance
Unless otherwise notified, all courses will run according to the schedule listed in the registration system. Class schedules are subject to change, and any updates will be communicated as promptly as possible. Successful completion of a course requires 80% attendance and an overall passing grade.
Financial Assistance
The department offers both free and tuition-based programs. Please note that federal financial aid is not available for continuing education courses. If you apply for a scholarship or stipend-based program. You must meet all program requirements, including but not limited to attendance, citizenship and passing grades.
Physical Activities
Student– or stipend-based rolling in courses that include physical activities do so with the understanding that Guttman Community College is not responsible or liable for personal injury, loss, or damage to personal property.
Code of Conduct
All Workforce Development and Continuing Education students are expected to uphold the stands of conduct outlined in Guttman Community College’s Code of Conduct.
Data Privacy
Student information is collected and maintained in accordance with CUNY data privacy and record-keeping policies. Upon successful enrollment, students will be required to register for the CUNYfirst account prior to starting class.
