Student Success

Connect Center (Student Emergencies)

Supporting the Connect Center at Guttman Community College is crucial for our students’ success. Beyond tuition and fees, many face unforeseen crises—such as job loss or unexpected expenses—that can disrupt their education. Your contribution provides essential emergency funding, helping students stay on track with their degrees. Additionally, the Grizzly Food Pantry offers free food, clothing, and personal essentials, ensuring that no student has to choose between their education and their next meal. By giving to these programs, you’re investing in the long-term success of our students and our community, helping create an environment where everyone can thrive.

United Men of Color

The United Men of Color (UMOC) program is essential for creating an inclusive and empowering environment for men of color at Guttman Community College. UMOC offers a supportive space where members receive academic guidance and mentorship, helping them navigate their educational journeys. Through sociocultural dialogue, our scholars enhance their self-understanding and relationships with diverse communities. Participants engage in enriching activities like monthly workshops, community service projects, and initiatives that build character and a sense of community. As part of the larger CUNY Black Male Initiative, your contribution sustains these vital programs and empowers the next generation of leaders. Invest in UMOC today and help our students thrive.

Women of GRIT

The Women of Gratitude, Resilience, Integrity, and Talent (GRIT) mentorship program empowers women and women-identified students, particularly freshmen. By supporting participants in achieving academic excellence and fostering self-awareness, GRIT promotes professionalism, community service, and leadership. Through meaningful programming and mentor relationships, students engage in activities that enhance their academic performance and personal growth. Your contribution is vital to sustaining this transformative program and empowering the next generation of female leaders. Invest in GRIT today to help our students thrive and make a lasting impact.
